
At least six countries have qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia.
This follows the conclusion of Tuesday’s Euro U-21 group stage fixtures.
France and Portugal became the latest countries to advance to the last-8 stage after recording victories against Poland and Georgia, respectively.
France defeated Poland 4-1, while Portugal won 4-0 against Georgia.
Both countries have now joined the likes of Spain, Italy, Denmark and Germany in the last-8.
The remaining two teams to join Germany, Portugal, France, Denmark, Spain and Italy in the last-8 will be confirmed after the conclusion of the final group stage fixtures on Wednesday.
DAILY POST reports that the quarter-finals stage will take place on 21 and 22 of June and only four teams will progress to the semi-final.
