President Bola Tinubu has commended the Super Falcons of Nigeria for their semi-final victory against their South African counterparts in the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
President Tinubu stated that Nigerians are proud of the players’ performance and are anticipating a win in the final game. He urged them to return with the trophy.
Naija News reports the Super Falcons edged past South Africa’s Banyana Banyana with a dramatic 2-1 victory on Tuesday to seal a place in the final of the WAFCON.
Reacting to the development, Tinubu, in a personally signed statement, released via his 𝕏 account, said the victory is well deserved.
He commended the magnificent display by the Falcons, describing it as a further demonstration of Nigeria’s indomitable spirit.

With this win, Nigeria now marches into yet another WAFCON final, and a shot at lifting their 10th continental title. They will face the winner between Morocco and Ghana.
