
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors are currently in a closed-door meeting at the Zamfara State Government House, Gusau.
Naija News reports that the meeting precedes the party’s 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, scheduled for Monday.
The reason for the meeting could not be ascertained, immediately, but it may not be unconnected with the recent leadership crisis rocking the party.
Zoning of the 2027 presidential ticket is one of the major decisions expected to be made at the meeting, as there are three options before the party: zoning the presidential ticket to the South, throwing it open or zoning it to the North.
However, major stakeholders are in favour of zoning it to the South, arguing that the South still have four years left.
