Speaking during the MFM Service, Olukoya described spiritual dryness as a dangerous condition that opens the door to attacks from the enemy. “Lack of appetite or hunger for God is one of the signs of spiritual death. Beware,” he said, urging believers to rekindle their passion for prayer, worship, and the study of God’s word.
The cleric noted that many Christians underestimate the subtle ways in which spiritual death begins, often with complacency and neglect of spiritual disciplines. According to him, once believers lose the desire to seek God, they become vulnerable to satanic manipulation. “The devil thrives where there is emptiness of God. That is why you must never allow your fire to go out,” he explained.
In his characteristic deliverance style, Olukoya declared prophetic prayers against spiritual and physical attacks from the forces of darkness. “I pray for you that every arrow of darkness fired against your life shall go back to the sender, in the name of Jesus,” he thundered, as the congregation responded with a resounding “Amen!”
He reminded worshippers that the Christian journey is a spiritual battle, and believers must remain constantly alert. “The arrows of death are real, but so is the power of God. Once you stand firm in Christ, those arrows will never prosper,”Olukoya assured.
The message, delivered under the theme “Dealing with the Arrows of Death,” was streamed live to MFM branches worldwide, with thousands of members participating physically and virtually. Congregants across different nations echoed the prayer points, reinforcing the church’s global reputation for fervent spiritual warfare.
