“The question I ask God anytime that I feel something is wrong with my body — Pastor Adeboye Reveals

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has declared that obedience to God is the key to enjoying divine health, stressing that God Himself promised to be the healer of His people.
Preaching from Exodus 15:26, Adeboye emphasized that God’s assurance of wellness is conditional upon obedience. “He says if you will obey God, I will see to it that you don’t fall sick,” the respected cleric explained.
Sharing personal experiences, Adeboye said he often turns inward to examine his actions whenever he feels unwell. “Anytime I feel that something is wrong with my body, the question I ask is, God, in what areas am I failing?” he recounted. “Most of the time, if I have had any ache or pain, I find that I have disobeyed Him in not resting when I’m supposed to rest.”
He noted that overexertion is one way people fail to align with God’s instructions, warning that constant disregard for rest can harm the body. “If at the time you’re supposed to rest, you are still pushing yourself on and on, the body will crack up,” Adeboye said.
The revered preacher reassured believers that God’s promise remains steadfast for those who obey Him in all areas of life. “If you obey Him in every area of your life, He is the one who promised, ‘I will see to it that no sickness will come near you because I will be your doctor,’” Adeboye declared.
Speaking with conviction, he issued a prophetic decree over his listeners, declaring freedom from ailments. “In the name that’s above every other name, I decree every sickness, every disease in your life will disappear,” he proclaimed, to the excitement of worshippers.
Adeboye stressed that good health is not merely the absence of sickness but a divine addition promised to those who live in obedience. “Good health is an addition,” he said, linking it to the broader blessings outlined in scripture for those who diligently follow God’s word.
