FIFA U20 World Cup Quarter-Final Results After Morocco Beat USA And France Beat Norway

The concluding part of the Quarterfinals in the U20 World Cup were completed few hours ago. Luckily for the African side, they still have a valid representation in Morocco while France also got to the next round flying the European flag.

Norway have been eliminated in their quarterfinal match against France. It wan an European affair which was also tactical and entertaining. France opened scoring in the 20th minute from Bouabre’s strike. The French youngster further made it bad for Norway in the 38th minute doubling France’s lead to make it a convincing 2-0 at halftime. Norway created some few chances in the second half but it was in the 84th minute that Holten pulled a goal back for Norway to make it 2-1. France were able to seal their win and a spot in the Semi Final stage.

Morocco continue with their wonderful performance in the competition following their meeting with Group E winners United State of America. The African side opened scoring in the 32nd minute from Fouan Zahouani’s strike that was the only goal in the half. USA returned leveled from the penalty spot just when the first half was about to end. Thanks to Cole Campbell who converted the Penalty kick to a goal. USA’s Joshua Wydner deflected Zabiri’s shot into his own net to put Morocco back in the lead around the 68th minute. Morocco sealed their victory in the 88th minute from Gessime Yassine’s finish, eliminating the vibrant USA team that paraded brilliant Benjamin Cremaschi.

Morocco will now face France in their Semi Final clash as the Competition now presents 2 American sides, 1 European and an African side.
