According to team officials, five more players are still expected to arrive in camp before the opening qualifier against Lesotho. The full squad will then take part in tactical sessions and final preparations under the guidance of the coaching staff.

The team’s first official training session was held on Tuesday night, giving head coach Chelle an early opportunity to assess the players’ fitness levels and blend team chemistry ahead of the double-header.

Nigeria will be aiming to start their World Cup qualifying campaign on a strong note after narrowly missing out on the 2022 tournament in Qatar. With a blend of experienced internationals and young talents, the Super Eagles are confident of securing maximum points from both matches.

Fans across the country are hopeful that the team will deliver positive results as they begin their journey toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
