When I Was Pregnant My Ex-husband Hit Me And Said He’ll Get The Cockroach Out Of My Stomach—Chiwendu

Precious Chiwendu, a model, has stated that she suffered physical abuse during her marriage. Chiwendu said the abuse happened even when she was pregnant with her first child.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo on With Chude show, Chiwendu said after her pregnancy was confirmed and it was revealed that she was carrying a baby boy, her ex-husband still attacked her.

Chiwendu said her ex-husband would punch her in the stomach while she was pregnant. She said he would insult her and refer to the baby in her womb as cockroach. She said he often told her that he would remove the “cockroach” from her stomach, meaning he would get rid of her pregnancy.

Chiwendu said the abuse was not a secret, as many people were aware of what she was going through.

In Chiwendu’s words: “Even when I was pregnant with my first child. When it was confirmed that I was pregnant, it was even confirmed that it was a boy and he knew. He would punch me in my stomach and say ‘Is it because of the cockroaches you are carrying in you, is that why you are doing this’. He would punch me and he would tell me he would get rid of it, he would get the cockroach out of my stomach.This thing was not a situation people don’t know, lots of people know about it”
